Landstuhl Castle Plays

Every year, the volunteer-run association organizes the popular “Burgspiele” at Nanstein Castle in Landstuhl. When the weather is nice, the performances are a real crowd-pleaser.

Katzweiler Open-Air Theater

The open-air theater is known far beyond the borders of the village of Katzweiler. Every year, two plays are performed on the forest stage located on the outskirts of town – one for adults and one for children. Due to high demand, there are always multiple performances.

Häwwich-Theater Busenberg

The association from Busenberg near Dahn stages two plays each year at the Drachenfels Community Center – one for adults and one for children. It also organizes carnival balls and offers various dance groups.

Helden von heute

The “Association for the Promotion of Musical and Theater Culture” brings together a group of theater lovers – both young and young at heart. Once a year, they stage a production in Enkenbach-Alsenborn that features plenty of singing.

KreaMief wider den Ernst e.V. Theater group

Founded in 1994, the Waldmohr Theater Group, with its experienced ensemble, specializes in plays performed in the Palatinate dialect. The Waldmohr Cultural Hall provides the perfect venue for these performances.

The region’s largest theater offers a diverse program ranging from plays and dance to musicals and opera. With its international ensemble, it attracts over 100,000 culture lovers to Kaiserslautern every year.

Theater Blaues Haus e.V.

The “Theater Blaues Haus e.V.” association was founded in 1998. Its mission is to promote cabaret in the broadest sense. It provides a stage for its own ensemble, for artists from the region and from around the world, and, since 2010, for events organized by the cultural initiative “neuer landweg e.V.” To this end, the “Blaues Haus” association is based in the former U.S. Army casino at Weierhof, which is called “Blaues Haus” (Blue House) because of its entirely blue exterior.

Althornbach Theater group

The Storchenschnäbbel Althornbach theater group performs its plays at the Pirminushalle in Hornbach near Zweibrücken.

Münchweiler Theater group

The Münchweiler Theater Group has been active since 1991. Due to high demand, the annual production is now staged four times at the Münchweiler Community Center.

Elschbach Theater Association

Since 1983, the Elschbach Theater Association has staged a new play every year. As a result, the village near Bruchmühlbach-Miesau has become one of the hotspots of theater culture in the western part of the region.

Spielbetrieb e.V. Theater Association

The Spieltrieb Theater Association periodically stages various plays and musicals featuring the association’s adult ensemble and youth group. The group draws on existing plays, but also creates its own scripts and writes new plays. As a result, there are frequent world premieres of innovative musicals for all age groups. In addition, the group produces special events such as Christmas concerts, musical evenings, and more.

Wolfsteiner Komödianten Theater Association

Founded in 2003, the amateur theater group performs its plays at various locations each year. A particular highlight is the train theater on the regional train to Kaiserslautern.

Wasgau Theater

Founded in 1978, the Wasgau-Theater e.V. stages its plays in the former movie theater of the former Fischbach Ordnance Depot near the German-French border.
