Just outside Morschheim in the northeastern part of the West Palatinate is a playground located that’s perfect for an adventure-filled break – perhaps while hiking. What makes it special is its pirate ship, as well as a zip line and a maze.

Dannenfels Adventure Playground

The adventure playground is located in the woods at the foot of Donnersberg. The surrounding area offers hiking trails and points of interest, making the play-ground a convenient stop along the way. In addition, it was up-graded in 2024 with new play equipment, including a zip line, a slide, and informational signs.

Waldmohr Forest Playground
There are also lovely playgrounds on the outskirts of the Western Palatinate, such as the one at Dörrbergweiher near Waldmohr. Visitors exploring the nearby sights or hiking in the woods can enjoy a cool break here and find plenty of playground equipment.

Eisenberg Forest playground

The forest playground is located along the hiking trails around the village of Stauf and its castle ruins. In addition to a shelter and seating areas, there are many play structures and climbing frames.

Playground in Neumühlepark

The Kaiserslautern Garden Show grounds have plenty to offer when it comes to playgrounds. There’s a skate park and a soccer field for teens, while children and teens of all ages can let off steam in the play area, which features a climbing tower and a slide. Obermoschel Multi-generational Recreation Area
On the southern edge of Obermoschel, right on the Moschelbach stream, there is a multi-generational recreational area that can be incorporated into hikes in the area, such as to Moschellandburg Castle. Among other things, you’ll find a ping-pong table, a basketball hoop, and a water playground here.
