Bärenloch Pond

A natural swimming pond located in the Palatinate Forest and established in 1874. A swimming area with a separate section for non-swimmers and a small, sunny lawn provides the perfect spot for cooling off and relaxing in the summer. Swim at your own risk.

Lake Clausensee

The 4-hectare swimming lake, with its excellent water quality, is considered an insider’s tip in the region. Visitors can look forward to a wide range of recreational activities here. Those who don’t want to dive straight into the cool water can still enjoy nature to the fullest from a pedal boat or SUP board, the spacious sunbathing lawn, the beer garden, or the restaurant. A children’s playground and Kneipp therapy in the natural stream ensure plenty of fun on land as well.

Lake Eiswoog

Neudahn Pond

Saarbacherhammer / Mühlweiher

Reservoir in the Reislertal valley, within the Palatinate-Northern Vosges Biosphere Reserve. The lakeside promenade invites visitors to unwind from the stresses of daily life and enjoy nature. The adjacent campground also makes longer stays possible. Access to the swimming area is reserved for guests of the Saarbacherhammer at many points.

Schöntal Pond in the Reislertal Valley

A reservoir for fishing and swimming in the Reislertal valley. A popular destination for families with children. Shallow shores and spacious play and sunbathing areas on the east side of the lake guarantee swimming fun for all ages. Swimming is permitted here at your own risk. Due to its designation as a protected area, swimming is prohibited on the west side of the lake.

Seehof Swimming Lake

A fishing and swimming area located in the Dahner Felsenland region, below Berwartstein Castle. The southern shore of this 15-hectare natural swimming lake has been developed as a public swimming area. A shallow sandy beach and a spacious sunbathing lawn guarantee complete relaxation in the heart of nature. Swimming in the lake, which is no more than 3 meters deep, is permitted at your own risk.

Gelterswoog Beach

From May through September, visitors can enjoy a wide range of water sports here, including boating, canoeing, and stand-up paddle-boarding. Those who prefer to stay out of the water can relax with a drink in the beer garden or let off some steam playing soccer, volleyball, or mini-golf – the possibilities are virtually endless.
